These chapters deal with poor Nassun mostly, and the fact that she's starting to tap into something that most Orogenes never seem to find, which means that her abilities are branching out into areas a lot more volatile and dangerous. She accidentally does something that none of us were even aware was possible; turns a flash-and-blood human being into stone, killing him.
This book is getting serious about springing surprises on us.
