I really like this piece because Harry is about to cast some fire magic and Lasciel is clinging to him in a way that is really similar to the one described in these chapters when she's translating. The illustration isn't specifically about Camp Kaboom in New Mexico, but it lines up so well!
These chapters are the ones in which we find out how dark Harry can get when his temper and righteous fury are let off the leash. When RoShawn and I talk about it, we're kind of horrified for a minute, but then we stop and think about the kind of rage we carry around and we're like, "Oh shit, yeah. I get it."
