Wow, you guys. I was NOT ready for this episode. Quite aside from the fact that there are way more Daleks left than even I thought (since I sort of had it figured that the one in the other episode wasn't the last) the whole tone and feel of this episode is really dark and disorienting and in some cases downright frightening.
The show starts off with a really jarring moment in which the Doctor wakes up in a tiny closet-like room with no idea how he got there, where he is, or what happened to Rose and Jack. As things are slowly revealed to us, we learn that everyone has somehow wound up in the studio of some reality show, and the penalty for being voted off or "made over" is death.
Meanwhile, there's something that is almost a person controlling the programming, and Jaime and I aren't really sure what her deal is, where she comes from, how many others there are (if any) and she seems to simply be there to pull the Doctor into the situation. In any case, it turns out that this whole thing started when the Doctor took out the giant ceiling alien back in 'The Long Game', and the Daleks are here to fuck up Earth forever.
