(Intro singing)
Ink Spots everywhere! Hello! Iām Gail Nobles, and youāre listening to the Ink Post, and Iām going to turn over to the music section. I want to take you way back to the 1930ās and 40ās to a group called The Ink Spots. got their name. They were a vocal Jazz doo - wop group with a unique musical style.
Itās All Over But The Crying is a 1947 song by The Ink Spots. But what youāve just heard is not the original. Itās just something added in for the intro.
In 1954, there have been well over a hundred vocal groups calling themselves āThe Ink Spotsā without any right to the name, and without any original members of the group. It has often been the case that these groups claimed to be, āSecond generationā or āThird generation Ink Spots. Well, Ink Spots can multiply, and I wanted to add some music history about the group to The InkPost.
Thank you for listening everyone. I hope youāll listen in again soon. Iām signing off for now with the InkPost pen.
