The 2021 Major League Baseball season is upon us and the Philadelphia Phillies are eager to get back to the playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers are on a break currently for All-Star weekend. Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid are in Atlanta representing the Sixers in the NBA All-Star Game. The Atlanta Braves 91.5, New York Mets 90.5, and the Washington Nationals 84.5 are all projected for more wins than the Phillies. The Phillies are also having an open competition for the starting centerfield job for opening day. Adam Haseley has gone down with an injury as Odubel Herrera, Mickey Moniak, and Scott Kingery continue to battle for that job. Kingery will be on the opening day roster no doubt but does Herrera or Moniak do enough for Girardi and Dave Dombrowski to add either to the opening day roster. Mickey Moniak was the former #1 overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft and Odubel Herrera hasn't played in the majors since he was suspended by MLB and the Phillies for a domestic abuse situation.
