Who are your peers? Are they believers? Have they shown consistent fruit? Do they encourage you to draw closer to G-d? Do they stand with you when you are in the storm? Are they the same, live the same, talk the same, walk the same every day – not just on days of worship? Does their life demonstrate the promises, provision, and protection that is in the bible?
Whomever we invite to be our peers has a great effect on our lives. Who are your peers?
1 Corinthians 15:33 (CJB) 33 Don’t be fooled. “Bad company ruins good character.”
Psalm 1:1-2 (AMP) 1 Blessed fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked following their advice and example, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit down to rest in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law His precepts and teachings he habitually meditates day and night.
Romans 12:2 (TLV) 2 Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.
