Yes, one hunter found part of a avionics and I found a engine access panel from a WWII era plane.

The Coffman starter system. The large shells were loaded into a chamber that transferred the expanding gassed into energy to turn the prop. The pilot would need to activate the magneto first to sustain combustion

Robert the SC membership is 25 bucks a year, and their meetings are on monday nights, but its 40 bucks for thier big hunt in the fall at Lake Lure (the dirty dancing lake) and hear its great so joined
