Story Transcript:

Sv: Lars och hans fru var på jakt efter nya möbler till deras vardagsrum.
En: Lars and his wife were looking for new furniture for their living room.

Sv: De hade hört talas om att Ikea hade bra och billiga möbler, så de bestämde sig för att åka dit och kolla in utbudet.
En: They had heard that Ikea had good and cheap furniture, so they decided to go there and check out the selection.

Sv: När de anlände till Ikea var det fullt av människor.
En: When they arrived at Ikea, it was full of people.

Sv: De gick runt och tittade på möbler tills de hittade en soffa och två fåtöljer som de föll för.
En: They walked around looking at furniture until they found a couch and two armchairs that they fell for.

Sv: De bestämde sig för att köpa dem och tog dem till kassan.
En: They decided to buy them and took them to the checkout.

Sv: När de kom hem började Lars packa upp möblerna.
En: When they got home, Lars started unpacking the furniture.

Sv: Soffan var inte så svår att montera, men fåtöljerna var en helt annan historia.
En: The sofa was not that difficult to assemble, but the armchairs were a completely different story.

Sv: Det fanns ingen instruktionsbok med möblerna och Lars visste inte var han skulle börja.
En: There was no instruction book with the furniture and Lars didn't know where to start.

Sv: Han började montera ramen, men märkte snabbt att han hade gjort fel.
En: He began to assemble the frame, but quickly realized that he had made a mistake.

Sv: Han försökte igen, men gick vilse i instruktionerna han uppfann i huvudet.
En: He tried again, but got lost in the instructions he made up in his head.

En: But when he woke up, he felt determined again.

En: He decided to ask his wife for help.

Sv: Tillsammans lyckades de montera fåtöljerna, och de såg fantastiska ut i deras vardagsrum.
En: Together they managed to assemble the armchairs, and they looked fantastic in their living room.

Sv: Lars lärde sig den hårda vägen att ibland är det bäst att be om hjälp när man behöver det, och att det är okej att misslyckas ibland.
En: Lars learned the hard way that sometimes it's best to ask for help when you need it, and that it's okay to fail sometimes.
