Fr: C'était une belle journée à Paris et Antoine se promenait tranquillement dans la rue.
En: It was a beautiful day in Paris and Antoine was walking quietly down the street.

Fr: Soudain, quelque chose de croustillant craqua sous son pied.
En: Suddenly, something crusty cracked under his foot.

Fr: "Merde!"
En: "Shit!"

Fr: dit-il en regardant vers le bas.
En: he said looking down.

Fr: C'était une baguette fraîchement sortie de la boulangerie que quelqu'un avait laissé tomber par terre.
En: It was a baguette fresh from the bakery that someone had dropped on the floor.

Fr: Antoine se mordit la lèvre inférieure, se rappelant les histoires de son grand-père sur le respect des aliments en France.
