Daniel Holmes, A US Navy Veteran Search and Rescue operator involved in the rescue of 4 trapped sailors who were at the very bottom of the ship operating a fuel station when they were surrounded by massive heat after several failed attempts by the ship firefighters his group of operators were asked to assist. Rescuing all 4 sailors successfully without injury.

In 2012 diagnosis of PTSD from the ship fire led him to learn about the VA healthcare system and how to navigate it. Moving forward to 2020 he was diagnosed with Membranous Nephropathy after being hospitalized for Nephrotic Syndrome. Being completely a new world to him. He quickly learned with the lack of information out there about this rare kidney disease that he needed to be as knowledgeable if not more about this disease than his own nephrologists.

Night and day while fighting the symptoms of this disease he learned as much as he could attacking this disease like it was a rescue mission and failure was NOT an OPTION.
