Amanda Kippert, co-host of the podcast Toxic and editor-in-chief of the non-profit Domesticshelters.org, is joining Natalie today to talk about her work with domestic violence reporting and her advocacy efforts for the survivors of domestic violence. Discussion will center around what policies fail people living with domestic violence, how our culture supports abusers and not the abused, and why misogyny is so prevalent that when survivors report their abuse, they often go unheard or not believed. It is an episode that offers people an insight into the reality of domestic abuse within our society, how we can advocate for those living with domestic violence, and also begins building solutions with the resources available to victims and survivors.
