Paranormal researcher and physical medium Amy Allan works with retired NYC homicide detective Steve Di Schiavi on Travel Channel's The Dead Files, which returned for Season 3 on Aug 10, to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across America.

In this series, Amy uses her abilities to communicate with the dead, often assuming their role and reliving their death; while Steve uses his years of detective experience to search for physical evidence. Amy's interest in paranormal phenomena began at age four when she was tormented by “shadow people” in her Arvada, CO home. Since then, she's been on a journey to unravel the mysteries of death and the beyond.
Steve relies on his police training and experience to explore each property, questioning the owners about the building’s past before gathering more facts from local historians, police investigators and by tracking down past owners of the property.
