Welcome to Hot Topics! Gabrielle Crichlow talks to guest Dr. Diana Mercado-Marmarosh about her life story with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (aka ADHD), particularly as an immigrant and a physician.
Who is Dr. Diana Mercado-Marmarosh?
Dr. Diana Mercado-Marmarosh is a family physician who has found a way to thrive with her ADHD diagnosis. Throughout her life, she had to work harder than most, and it wasn't until medical school that she was diagnosed with ADHD. Initially relieved to understand what was "wrong," she faced shame from her doctor for seeking treatment, being told that as a physician, she should have outgrown ADHD. Dr. Mercado-Marmarosh has learned to live and thrive with ADHD, and now she dedicates herself to helping others create the life they desire, empowering them to reach their full potential.
