White took replaced Sal Garcia as manager of MMA fighters Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, friends and trainers partners whom would compete in one of the first major MMA promotions: Ultimate Fighting Championship (2000).
In 2016 amidst the frenzied buildup to the much-anticipated UFC 202 event in Las Vegas, the sports promoter quietly closed a $4 billion sale. The acquisition, announced in July 2016 by lead investor WME|IMG, has been widely reported as the single largest transaction in professional sports history.
