It is basically a boring story about licensing that has been spiced up a little with action and humor. There is almost nothing (profound) about the creation of the game or the significance of computer games as such at that time. There is also a complete lack of background stories or character development. So It's a good thing that stereotypes and clichés are not rare, that the viewer really doesn't get the idea to think about the characters at all.
