Limit Break Stories is a Limit Break Media project dedicated to promoting and curating inspiring and positive stories. To that end I am also speaking to creatives with different perspectives who are steeped in the art of storytelling in different mediums.

We talk about psychology and storytelling and it's role in social change.

Deanna is currently a doctoral candidate in Applied Psychology. In partnership with community-based arts organizations, she conducts research aimed to promote youth development and social justice through the arts. Outside of her doctoral studies, she’s an actor, dancer, singer-songwriter, and dance educator.

Her first empirical study examining how arts participation leads to growth in youth's awareness of inequity and engagement in social change has been published in the Journal of Youth and Adolescence. You can find the article here:
