The Lawson family would wake up on Christmas Day not knowing that for most of the family, this would be their last living day. In 1929, on Christmas day, Charles Lawson would take the life of his wife and six of their seven children. He would murder them in such a violent manner as though he did not even love them.
The rumor mill would start to boom in the small town of Germanton, North Carolina immediately. Was it a mob hit? Revenge for a previous fit? Or could it possibly be a case of incest?
