Welcome to our "Falcon Spotlight Podcast," where we will get to meet some of the inspiring teachers, staff members, coaches and students who make West Catholic High School a special place.

On this episode we feature senior Kayla Van Linden, a member of the bowling team since her freshman year, who is off to another great season. She hopes to make it back to the state tournament after winning regionals last year.

In this podcast she talks about bowling, of course, as well as her love for photography why she says a vanilla ice cream cone is her favorite food. And she says Mr. Nawrocki is her favorite teacher. She also offers advice for incoming freshmen.

Here is some biography information she provided.

A few questions she answered....

1. What do you love about the West Catholic community? "One of my favorite things that I’ve seen done at West Catholic is the big events such as the fish fry and the arts and crafts show. I loved helping out for the craft show because everyone is so nice and really genuine when volunteering."

2. Tell us more about your favorite teacher or subjects. "Physics class is by far my most favorite that I’ve taken. Mr. Nawrocki is a fantastic teacher and people are really missing out on a fun time if they don’t take his physics class!"

3. What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? "I’m not sure what I’ll major in yet, but I can see myself running my photography business for a long time, taking pictures (senior photos especially!) is one of my favorite things to do."
