Today we’re focusing on two big ones. The first is Anna Sorokin, AKA Anna Delvey, the Russian-born German scammer who convinced major players in the art and finance world of Manhattan that, not only was she was a wealthy socialite, but that they should loan her hundreds and thousands of dollars to open a “foundation” in her name. Next, we’ll talk about Elizabeth Holmes, the recently convicted felon and disgraced founder of the defunct medical device company Theranos, who defrauded high-profile investors to the tune of $121 million dollars.
