Many leaders lack executive presence and effective communication when managing people. They think their title gives them the right to degrade, demean, dismiss, and insult those who work for them. They lack the emotional intelligence to not only manage their emotions but manage the emotions of others. They lack the maturity needed to effective lead their teams to success.

Leaders who use the workplace to be a tyrant will eventually find themselves with no loyal team to support them and do the work. People do not come to work to be antagonized and insulted. As a leaders it is your responsibility to understand your employees and manage the different personalities to help them perform so the team can win.

If you lack effective communication skills in the workplace, then you need to invest in yourself and get some training before you find yourself by yourself leading no one.
