Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have moved from being a safe cities platform to reaching much wider into other facets of day-to-day city management, leading to increased demands for unified city wide communication systems to manage this complexity. Our guest this week is Thomas Lynch who talks to us about the role of critical communications in ITS.

Thomas Lynch leads the physical security and critical communications research team at Omdia. He and his team examine markets ranging from video surveillance and access control equipment, through to LMR and LTE communication technologies, command and control/PSAP technologies, fire and intruder detection equipment, right through to safe cities. He has more than 20 years of experience providing industry-leading insights, as well as over 20 years of operational, military, engineering communications, and security experience prior to switching over to the world of industry analysis.
