The book of Ruth is a love story about God's faithful love and tender care for you, even in the midst of your most difficult circumstances. God demonstrates in Ruth that He is doing more for you than you could ever imagine. (Ephesians 3:20) Yes, He wants you to know that He is always loving and kind to you, and that His faithful love for you never ends. (Psalms 107:1; Psalm 89:33)
God reveals His steadfast love for you in the reflection of Ruth's heart, which tenaciously clings to her mother-in-law Naomi. (Ruth 1:14) Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will become my people, and your God "El Shaddai" will now be my God - the Sovereign, Almighty God Who is more than sufficient). (Ruth 1:16)
Ruth's story is part of God's sovereign plan to show you how every aspect of your life is constantly working for the good of His intended purpose. (Romans 8:28) Ruth's journey begins in great loss and famine, but she ends up being the great-grandmother of King David, the greatest king of Israel, and an ancestor in the lineage of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 1:5)
