Ladies and Gentlemen today we are pleased to introduce you to another legend in and around the community of Roseland and the state of Illinois. Today we bring you the former chair of the department of art and design at Trinity Christian College in Chicago’s south suburbs until 2014. He earned is BA at Calbin University and his MFA at Michigan State University, go wolverines, and over the last four years has periodically served as the director for Trinity’s Seerveld Gallery which is a premier site for serious contemporary artist in the South Suburbs of Chicago. What our next guest is most notable for in my opinion is his work as an Artist, he is the head of the Roseland Portrait project which was created in an effort to represent a community and its imperfect, but real support of one another. Through hand painted portraits of people who make up the community our next guest has set the goal of 400 portraits, portraits of everyday people Janitors, EMT, School Teachers, Mechanics, Cashiers, Librarians, Nurses and anyone else who is essential to the make up of the Roseland Community to show its residents and the residents of the surrounding areas just who Roseland really is. Our next guest has had his artworks represented by one of Chicago's most significant galleries such as the Marianne Deson Art Advisory. His works are also in a variety of private and corporate collections as well as public collections including the City of Chicago.
