The year 2020 saw global sales of electric vehicles surge by 41% to almost 3 million, according to IEA (International Energy Agency). According to the Global EV Outlook 2021 report released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) in April this year, growth is expected throughout the decade. The reports predict that the number of registered electric vehicles would rise from 10 million to 145 million in 2030.
