I am a Sabbath keeper too, thank God for getting me together, cause I was all over the place. Running on 2 hours of sleep sometimes, up writing articles as a Publicist for many Gospel Artists. I was a workaholic - perfectionist. Our testimony is so similar. It was me over compensating for my looks I hated and was teased about in school. From the Quiz Team, to Spelling Bee, Debate, Drama Club, Teacher's Pet, almost writing calligraphy and getting commended on penmanship, that took so long on projects and homework when everyone else was writing script or typing. Just doing too much. It never really left me, I had to overachieve in something, right? Thank God for beautifying me. Me being everything to everyone, had me at a place where I was nothing to myself, neglecting my own visions and dreams and kids. I managed Gospel Artists and Radio Jocks careers/lives and didn't even know how to manage my own life. I was a reporter, who neglecting to report everything to God first. I began acting...well, pretending to hold it all together became my norm as a single parent, doing it all alone. I can still hear the worst words ever. My then, 7 yr old in 2016, said, "Mommy you're always working and don't have anytime for me and my sister". The worst thing, most of my work was from home. My 7 and 5 year old daughters, cooked for the 1st time in that same year because while I was writing to meet a deadline, they told me they were hungry and I told them I'm coming, let mommy just finish this, give me 5 mins. About 20 mins passed, and my kids 7 and 5 yr old daughters brought me the best Jamaican fried dumplings and fried eggs I've ever tasted, I remember being shocked and excited that my kids knew exactly how much salt and water, etc to put in the dumpling batter. But then, while eating I was like, supposed they burned themselves, they were really hungry to go take matters into their own hands for the 1st time, and still loved me in my neglect to make me a plate with smiles of love, while you out here being a good manager of others, but a bad mother/manager at home. It tears me up 'til today. God started making me flip to Hebrews 4 way too many times, until I finally got the message a few years back. Recently, God sat me down and said you are overworked and you need to do my work. I love what God has done for me, my girls love the Sabbath more than any other day, we rest and share God with each other, with Bibletionary, trivia, or just watching a movie about our King. I remember hearing you preach about the Sabbath last year at TC and how on Resurrection weekend our Savior rested and OMG what a word. God revealed the same kinda message to my 13 old daughter about the Sabbath. I tell people the Sabbath was here before sin and Grace was never needed to take it away like our sins. Apostle Paul in Hebrews 4 (New Testament) says it still remains, right along with the other 9 commandments we as Christians wouldn't dare say no longer stands because of Grace. Emporer Constantine was wrong for changing the commandment and enforcing Sunday worship as the holy day, the venerable day of the sun, on March 7, 321. It was not for the worship of the Son (Lord of the Sabbath) but the created sun which many have be trapped into worshiping now and need to be set free. I worship everyday. I am a TC Nation Member, I worship faithfully with TC, because God told me too. But, I also keep the Sabbath Holy, because God told me too. Thank you for this Word.
