In Mexico there is not one sector in public or private life that has not been infiltrated by the cartel. From government seats to the local police departments, the cartels rule with an iron fist. One of the only bulwarks remaining against the cartels and the corruption of the government is the media. Yet, being a journalist in Mexico comes with little rewards and a lot of danger.
