show moreHis current projects focus on building connections and engagement with the community of people living with dementia. He came to this work primarily through his experience as a care partner with his Mom, who lived with vascular dementia before she passed in 2021. He is a community member and volunteer with the Dementia Action Alliance USA and a Mentor Advocate Peer with CaringKind - The Heart of Alzheimer's Caregiving.
He is currently developing a movement-based creative engagement program for people living with dementia called Make Space (https://www.makespacetheater.org/). Make Space is a project designed to help people living with dementia develop tools and resources for communication, expression, and creativity. The project is being developed with Giulia Caratenuto (https://www.healingdanceandmovement.com/), an artist and movement therapist, in collaboration with the members of the New York Memory Center.
