I have a very special treat for you for today’s Season Finale; I’m joined by journalist and best-selling author Lindsey Tramuta. Lindsey’s latest book, “The New Parisiennes: the Women & Ideas Shaping Paris," features interviews with a diverse group of influential female activists, artists, feminists, politicians, and more. In it, Lindsey explores the jarring difference between the perception of the archetypal Parisian woman and the truth of her existence, as well as what it means to be a Parisienne today.

In our talk, Lindsey discusses the women she interviewed and the connections she made, intersectionality, the ways in which the US and France are similar, and what it is about Paris that makes it ripe for a revolution. Then, she treats us to a reading from “The New Parisiennes: the Women & Ideas Shaping Paris."

About Us
Since well before Victor Hugo looked up at Notre Dame and thought, "Huh... what if a hunchback lived in there?" authors have been inspired by Paris. The Storytime in Paris podcast will help keep this tradition alive with short interviews and readings from your favorite contemporary authors with a French connection.

Every episode will feature five questions, asked by you, our authors' biggest fans, and answered live on air. Then, our authors will treat us to a reading of an excerpt from their book. Who knows? Maybe you'll even be inspired to write your own Great French Novel. Happy listening!
