 Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, more people are working from home than ever before. These advice from a remote work specialist can help you stay productive and maintain balance, whether you're new to working remotely or just want to level up.Around March 2020, more individuals than ever before began working from home, and it happened almost overnight. Organizations and individuals didn't have time to plan for remote work or consider how to transfer teams, processes, and culture to an online-only workplace. No one knew (or still doesn't know) how long the COVID-19 epidemic would endure, and hence how long forced remote work would be required.If you're new to working from home, whether because of the coronavirus or because you've found a remote-based job, you may have discovered that you need to adjust your habits and routines to be successful.I've been working entirely from home for more than six years, long before the COVID-19 outbreak. Several of my friends and coworkers have also done it. We all confront distinct obstacles, not just because of our distinct personalities, but also because of our distinct lives and types of job. Despite this, many of the difficulties we confront as remote employees are similar.Working from home necessitates figuring out when to work, where to work, and how to draw a line between business and personal life. What about office supplies, professional development, training opportunities, and forming bonds with coworkers?Working remotely, especially when you work from home the majority of the time, necessitates resolving these and other challenges. Based on my experience and what I've learned from others, here are 20 recommendations for leading a better and more productive remote-work life.1. Stick to a schedule.Make a timetable and stick to it...for the most part. Many remote workers find that having clear boundaries for when to work and when to call it a day helps them maintain work-life balance.However, when the job allows it, one of the great advantages of remote work is flexibility. To accommodate someone else's time zone, you may need to extend your day or start early. If you do, make sure to finish work earlier than normal or sleep in a little the next morning to compensate.Automatic time-tracking tools, such as RescueTime, allow you to check in on whether you're on track. They can also assist you figure out when you're most productive and when you're most sluggish. You can take advantage of this information by reserving the hours when you're most likely to complete challenging tasks. For example, if you are most productive between the hours of 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., avoid scheduling meetings around that period.
