A lamp is placed on a stand where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

I want to live that way, don't you? And the question is, how do you live like that? It's so comforting to me that the followers of Jesus asked him, Lord, teach us to pray. The next time you're in a situation where you're finding it hard to love your enemy or shine your light, or do the right thing, pull out the Lord's Prayer in Matthew chapter 6... It's your rescue prayer!
