When I started this podcast, it was a distant dream that, one day, Kiefer Sutherland could be a guest. Truly distant.
That day is here, thanks to the persistence of my co-host, Justin, and the graciousness of our guest and his team! I purposely dropped this episode between Canada Day and the 4th of July - Jack Bauer is a true American Hero, portrayed by a Canadian born in England. How cool is that?
Kiefer entered the room ready to engage, and we had a great time talking 24. We discussed why 24 is too good an idea to not continue, his unique relationship with Jack Bauer, and the real story behind the still-shocking Season 1 finale.
His passion for storytelling infuses his acting, his music and his life. It was a thrill to revisit his show at the Ark in Ann Arbor, MI, this time from his perspective.
"And now we’re watching the death of Network Television! Go figure." was a standout line, for sure.
Enjoy!
