I am telling on myself with this episode of The A Bit From Within podcast! I've been knowing this one was coming for a long time- and I thought this week kicked off by Valentine's day would be the perfect week to do so. This week's episode is all about years spent worrying about finding love.
The first 28 years of my life I was in and out of unrequited, unavailable, and unattainable love. I picked great people to love, but not people who could/would love me back how I deeply wanted to be.
Looking at all those years from the bird's eye view, I see now that I was learning through all of that desperation to be loved by others, that what I really wanted was for me to be loved by myself! I thought if someone else approved of and adored me, that then I'd feel that on the inside. Wouldn't it be nice if that's how it worked?
