The Creation of Man.
- God made the body of man out of the dust of the earth, and breathed into him a living soul.
- 2. The first human beings that God created were Adam and Eve.
THE SOUL OF MAN.
- The soul of man is made in the image of God, since it is a spirit like to God.
- 2. The soul of man is immortal, i.e., it can never cease to exist.
THE SUPERNATURAL ENDOWMENTS OF MAN.
- Our first parents were created in the grace of God, and there fore possessed singular perfections of soul and body.
- 2. These special perfections of our first parents we call super natural gifts, because they are something altogether beyond, and were added to, human nature.
