While sleeping one night, OP is suddenly awakened, but she doesn’t know why. That’s when she hears footsteps coming up the stairs. Assuming it’s her parents, she doesn’t worry so much, until the doorknob starts to turn, ever so slightly, and it soon becomes apparent that this individual does not belong there.
