This week we are exploring the origins of colonialism and how it has come to affect everything and everyone we know. As hispanics, we dive into our life stories of mixed race from native american ancestry to our ties with the European race. Our names. Our families. Our customs. Our beliefs. They’ve all been a product of being mestizos (mixed race) and our identity as latinxs. We go over topics such as colorism, racism, and other social aberrations that have shaped the world that we live in today. The very two languages that we speak as latinxs is English and Spanish. Both colonial tongues. So join us for this episode on The Other Side and see if perhaps you can relate with us about a thing or two about our past, future, and perhaps even the present.
