WEEK 14: DAY 2
HEAR YE HIM
Luke 9:35
Then there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, My Chosen One or My Beloved; listen to and yield to and obey Him!
Matthew 17:5
While he was still speaking, behold, a shining cloud [composed of light] overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, This is My Son, My Beloved, with Whom I am [and have always been] delighted. Listen to Him!
Two events in time reassures us of Jesus being a Son of God and ascertains that every creature listens to Him. No emotional or momentary bias here, only instructional in authority.
The instruction given is to LISTEN! because He speaks - He is the Word of Life! He is the Truth!
To experience Him, you don't necessarily need an explicit image, His personality is in His Words - with the Spirit in us, we experience Jesus because when He speaks, His Words are Life.
This is Who you abide in and Who abides in you - an indwelling of Life ,creation has been instructed to listen to. (See Romans 8:10-11)
2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ
However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.
So really it is not about you! Lay aside how you feel or what you think (opinions) and reflect Who you carry as you reflect on Him - His Words.
Speak to the earth with the authority of Who is in you, Speak Him! Because they ought to hear Him.
You are indeed the carrier of the ultimate Authority! Stop focusing on you and focus on Him because the world needs you! The world needs you because they need Him.
You are His channel of expression, the carrier of Grace, the extension of His light! If the world, your world suffers, don't let it be because you haven't lived as you should!
Colossians 26-27
He has kept this secret for centuries and generations past, but now at last it has pleased him to tell it to those who love him and live for him, and the riches and glory of his plan are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory.
Christ in you is the hope of Glory needed - activate Him by Living! By Speaking! By Acting!
I pray you go forth in this authority and be responsible in helping your world because you are equipped in Jesus name, amen.
