With the 23rd pick in the 2020 NHL Entry draft, the Philadelphia Flyers selected forward Tyson Foerster with the hopes that he one day turns into a future star. With 80 points on the season, Foerster made huge leaps in his game from one season to the next and found himself sky-rocking up the rankings over the past 12 months. Earlier in 2020, Foerster wasn't necessarily seen as a guarantee 1st round pick, but with the strides he made in his game made him a difficult player to pass up. The biggest knock on Foerster's game is his skating prowess and technique. This was the main issues that kept the scorer out of the spotlight, but that's where Paul Matheson comes in.

Paul Matheson is Head of Skating Development for the Barrie Colts of the OHL and was tasked with improving Foerster's skating for the professional game. With a background in figure skating and playing hockey, Paul opened his own development program called Evolution Skating Development and brings 25 years of expertise to the table. Check out Yariv Wolok's (@ywolok) conversation about Tyson Foerster and the hard work he's put in since the season suddenly halted due to COVID-19. While most casual fans would sight Foerster's skating as an issue, it seems to us that they're behind on progress Tyson has made to evolve his game. Here's hoping he can blow everyone away at Flyers Dev Camp, whenever that happens...
