Scripture texts are Deuteronomy 6.1-9 and 1John 4.7-21 from the subject, “The Greatest of All Time.”
God is the greatest of all time manifested in the person of Jesus Christ. And because God is love, Love is the greatest of all time. So next time you hear a discussion about the GOAT, please remember God and love are the greatest of all time.
I.To know the GOAT is to love the GOAT (vv7-8)
II.The GOAT gave His best and requires us to do likewise (vv9-16)
III.Believe the GOAT wants the best for those He loves (vv17-18)
IV.Prove your love of the GOAT by loving your brothers and sisters (vv19-21)
Love is of God and God is love. Therefore, God and love are the greatest of all time, the GOAT. And I pray we will be as bold as Muhammad Ali was when he proclaimed he was the greatest. We proclaim Jesus is the greatest! Jesus Christ is the GOAT!
So, let us invest in our relationship with Jesus, give our best like God did, believe He wants the best for us, and prove our love of God by loving others compassionately. The GOAT, Jesus Christ, has spoken. Are we listening? Are we loving?
