Texts today are Psalm 42.1-11 and John 6.22-31, 53-59 from the thought, "Bread that Leads to Eternal Life".

1. When we seek Jesus for our spiritual needs, He will take care of our temporal needs. John 6:26-27. Trust in the Lord, and do good, dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness! Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart! Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him. And He shall bring it to pass!

2. Our single most important assignment is to believe in Jesus John 6:28-29. It's about our FAITH! But without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him, for he who comes to God must first believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We can't work FOR our salvation, but Paul says we must work OUT our salvation with fear and trembling. Believing, or faith, is the REAL WORK!

3. Unless we have a REAL relationship with God, our RELIGION is in vain. John 6: 53-59. Unless we consume JESUS, we have no relationship with the Father. The people had manna straight from HEAVEN, but their focus was on the 'bread' that their fathers ate and were now dead. When we eat the bread of life, from a RIGHT relationship with Jesus Christ, we will have eternal life with Him! Unless we have a REAL relationship with God, our RELIGION is in vain!
