Communicating about political and social issues in a way that is relevant, appropriate, and in line with the creative tone and voice of an artist is challenging. Simply “canceling” someone or dictating what they say does not work and deprives society of the unique value that creatives bring to the political and social discourse. Creating a collaborative relationship with those who understand political communication is key.
