Adverse Childhood Experiences, also called ACEs, impact the life of the survivor in ways that are not obvious. In earlier episodes we’ve discussed some of the more overt affects of abuse, but what we haven’t talked about are subtler effects such as negative health outcomes, a higher chance of self-harm, and a dysfunctional diet.
