If you ask Natalie Higby, what inspires her to do what she does, she will probably say that she wants to make the world a better place. Natalie is the co-founder of Durable Athlete, a brand that consists of personal training, online training, mentoring, and a newly created app. As an athlete playing basketball in college at the University of Texas at Dallas, Natalie began studying nutrition, training, martial arts, and personal development while doing her studies in education. She knew very early that communication and building relationships were her strengths. After coaching in and out of the classroom, Natalie began to get a clearer vision of how she wanted to impact the world, and she knew that working for someone would limit her ability to provide that. In this episode, we talk about her journey, what Durable Athlete is about, who she is helping, and what she loves about it. She mentions that although she didn't see herself as an entrepreneur, her passion led her to it. We talk about Mindset, success, and Natalie offers a few tips for anyone starting with a new exercise program. Natalie's message is clear that consistency beats intensity, and passion is a must.
