"Married for 22 years. Father of three (2 daughters and 1 son) Oldest daughter is a graduate of The University of Arkansas in 2021 and is now a Grad student at UTD getting her masters in Audiology. My son is a Junior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Music Education and is the drumline leader for the Arkansas Razorback Marching Band. Youngest daughter is a sophomore in HS and plays oboe in the band and is a really good volleyball player!
I am a HUGE Star Wars fan (geek, nerd, whatever). Grew up with everything Star Wars. I have two Dodge Chargers that are show cars. One is a white Charger that looks like a First Order Stormtrooper and I have won awards at almost every car show I have done in 5 years. The other is a Red Charger that looks like a Final Order Sith Trooper…I have helmets, light sabers, name it. I even have a land speeder! (I sent you pictures via text)
Die Hard college sports fan….Love my Oklahoma Sooners and now that my kids go there, I follow the Arkansas Razorbacks (But I still cannot bring myself to yell “Woo Pig Sooie”…nope) Not sure what I’ll do if OU and Arkansas end up playing each other in the College World Series!!
My wife and I bought Can-Am Spyders last year so we could ride in charity toy rides and for other causes. I in my down time (whatever THAT is) I love going fishing when I have the chance (and when it’s not 178 degrees outside). So, I fish from October 6th to October 9th if I want good weather 😊
I have been a bouncer in clubs worked as personal security for people such as Randy White, Jay Novacek, and Bobby Dall from the rock band, Poison. I’m also a mobile DJ.
1989-1992 Professional Wrestler (went by Chris Savage) in the old WCCW and GWF. Snapped my leg and I was done.
1993-1997- Producer, technical director for the Dallas Mavericks, and fill In talk show host at 570 KLIF – Eventually had my own weekend show about CIGARS! And it was goooood!
1997-1999 – Producer for Prime Sports Radio
1999-2002 – Syndicated talk show host for the USA Radio Network (in 76 cities nationwide and locally on KRLD)
2002- Present – THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY (insert ominous music here)
Started in the mortgage business by accident in 2002. I was in radio for a number of years with 570 KLIF in its heyday back in the mid 90s. Then hosted my own late night talk show on the USA Radio Network for almost 3 years. After that, I was the host of a wrestling show called Bonecrusher Sunday Night on 93.3 The Bone in the early 2000s. Around that time, I was asked to host a mortgage hour on KRLD as a fill in host for a few months and got to know Mike Anderson from Reliance Mortgage. My job was just to bring the show in and out of commercials and introduce the main players…Well, we hit it off and Mike eventually asked me and another couple of his loan officers to do our own show. That went for almost a year. I learned so much during that time that Mike offered me a job as a loan officer at his company.
That was 2002. I was given the opportunity to learn and eventually lead the new Lending Tree division. I even went to the Lending Tree HQ in Charlotte, NC for training on their systems and processes.
I left Reliance in 2004 and bounced around a couple of places until I found my niche at Countrywide Home loans in 2005. I went through the mortgage meltdown in 2008 (ironically at the same time, Countrywide was bought out by Bank of America) and survived! I went from loan officer to Team Lead, to VP of sales, to Unit Manager, in a span of less than 1 year. I made Circle of Excellence 3 years in a row. But in 2010, BOA went in a different direction from sales to loan modifications, and I wanted to continue to do sales.
I left for MetLife Home Loans in 2010. Unfortunately, MetLife decided to stick with insurance instead of banking and decided to transition out of the mortgage business by 2012.
After a brief stint with a local broker shop from 2012 to 2013, I found my home with Stearns Lending in March 2013. I was there for 9 years. I headed up the new Consumer Direct Division and moved into taking a role as a producing manager, leading the employee loan programs (for Stearns and all their JVs), Interstate Lending Programs, and still taking inbound leads and calls. I was a President’s Club winner in 2017. In 2021, Stearns Lending was acquired by Guaranteed Rate.
In early 2022 I was given the opportunity to come “home” to Success Lending LLC which is a JV of Kind Lending owned by Glenn Stearns. The most exciting opportunity comes with the Cliff Freeman Group and getting to work with such amazing people with eXp Realty!"
