Kozversations Koz couldn't ask for a better guest to celebrate this landmark 75th episode than British singing superstar Rumer, who has made quite a splash on the British music scene since her debut album "Seasons of My Soul" in 2010. She won MOJO Magazine's Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award, as well as two Brit Awards (the equivalent of our Grammys), and went platinum in England while selling more than a million albums across Europe. She's had a string of successful CDs since, often covering classics and personal favorites from the '60s and '70s and is currently working on her debut American album, a collection of Burt Bacharach and Hal David's finest songs. Yet there's been a real up and down to it all, as her unexpected fame also brought her battles with PTSD and depression. She's also got a lot to say about the oversexualization of many women in the music industry, with hot comments including her belief that Miley Cyrus "needs to be exorcised." And wait til you hear her discuss her charity of choice - it's incredibly moving and wholly unexpected. Hear all about that, the emotional discovery she made about her childhood, her creative process, performing for both President Obama and Queen Elizabeth at different shows, and the encounters she had with Adele while living on the same block before they both became famous. It's a fascinating listen, and an entertaining one too, with several of her best songs included! Tune in if you're a fan or are about to become one!
