  Hi Robert, if i understand correctly from what you say, the deep problem we are facing is social strife (with all the fallout that creats). And I think this was also something that Junaid was pointing at, and I didn't hear him negate the existance of oppresion. I think where there is, and should be a conversation, is on the breadth of language we should relearn to use, in order to descibe our various social/political etc' situations - precisely becuase when we are using one word (eg. opression) to describe a multitude of situations, we are negating the experiance of others. What I heard from him, is that this also creats an extremely binary sort of conversation, which is detrimental for a cohasive human society. But, I think this is an extreamly important conversation that we should be having, and I hope Junaid visit our shul sometime in the near futere so that we could go more in depth into this subject.
