Welcome to the RMUpload! This is the first episode of our new bi-weekly podcast about education, health, and life at a graduate healthcare institution. Our first episode features Dr. Mike Nelson and Dr. Mace Hamblin giving an introduction to the concept of emotional intelligence (EI) and its value in personal and professional life. They provide a brief overview of important principles within the EI construct, as well as examples of how these principles can be applied to common scenarios in our lives. This episode also wades into the physiological concepts of how emotions can affect the brain and overrides the brain's ability to act in a logical way.Brought to you each week, from the RMUoHP campus, located in beautiful Provo Utah.
In our debut episode we welcome Michael Nelson, DHSc, PA-C (Department Chair and Program Director of Physician Assistant Studies at RMUoHP) and Mace Hamblin, DHSc, MPA (Director of Clinical Education, Master of Physician Assistant Studies; Faculty, Doctor of Medical Science at RMUoHP).
