In today's #coffeewithatherapist, we are talking all about the 3 ways I've seen happiness be a bad, scary, or avoided emotion in my clients and even my own life. I'll also discuss the ways we can heal this and work towards being more comfortable with an emotion many of us claim to want or be seeking.

1. Happiness feels scary because we are waiting for the other shoe to drop
2. Happiness feels bad because we have guilt about those who are struggling
3. Happiness feels uncomfortable because we are used to always being on the go and achieving the next "big goal" or life event (i.e. marriage, kids, job promotion, retirement, etc.)
