From Nope to Hope -
Listen in as I speak with Lorraine Reguly, an author and English teacher who is now a freelance editor, blogger, and entrepreneur.
Lorraine shares her roller coaster life that started with being raped at 14. With no skills or resources to learn how to cope with this trauma, she found ways to numb the pain…that included alcohol and substance abuse, and promiscuity.
A single Mom at the age of 18, she made a lifestyle change and completed her high school education and went on to college. However, leaving her home for a job became too difficult and she quit her job and returned home without any gainful employment. This quickly started another descent on the roller coaster that involved crack cocaine and prostitution
When her son was 19 and realized what she was doing, he disowned her. At her bottom, she found her way up and returned to writing and editing. A self-published author, her From Nope to Hope book talks about how she overcame her suicidal thoughts.
Reconciled with her son, she now helps other authors with their books and sees her past all leading her to the point where she is now, helping others on their healing journey.
