To start my new podcast, I figured I’d perform an oldie. Originally released in 1955 by Johnny Cash, it was written by Cash. While he was in the Air Force, he had watched a movie about Folsom Prison. When he was honorably discharged, he signed to Sun Records and released this as the B-Side to "I Walk The Line". It launched Cash’s career. It is mostly well-known because it inspired a prison concert which later was released as a live album. I consider this song as one of the best country songs ever.
