Governor Baker has unveiled a new proposal that would allow authorities to force drug addicts to undergo seventy-two hours of treatment, regardless of whether they consent to it or not. While some think this could be an effective tool in fighting the opioid epidemic, others are concerned that this could do more harm than good, and violates individual rights. Joycelyn Woods, Executive Director of the National Alliance on Medication Assisted Recovery (NAMA Recovery), checks in to explain why she believes this is a step in the wrong direction.
